Glenn A. Saks, Esq.

 

Mr. Saks has 10 years of legal experience including real estate litigation, commercial litigation, healthcare, bankruptcy / corporate reorganization, and creditor rights.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation, municipal law, bankruptcy, and administrative matters.

 

Before joining Assouline & Berlowe as Of Counsel, Mr. Saks worked in the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office where he drafted and reviewed ordinances for inclusion in the Miami-Dade County Code.  He created and reviewed legislation for the County Commission and served as the legal advisor to several County boards, councils, and task forces.  He also advised multiple County departments on employment and other policies, HIPAA regulations, regulatory disputes with state agencies, lease agreements, notice and due process issues, contract negotiation, public records requests, and “Sunshine” laws.

 

Mr. Saks has drafted motions and briefs on in-depth legal issues in Federal District Court and in various state courts.  He has litigated quiet title suits, personnel employment hearings, evictions, injunctions against the County Building Department, appeals of County board orders, and worker’s compensation matters.  He has experience arguing successfully at hearings in state court and bankruptcy court.

 

Mr. Saks is experienced negotiating and drafting a variety of contracts between state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, and for-profit corporations.  He has represented clients in real estate closings, negotiated and analyzed development agreements, settled complex multiparty contractual disputes, opined on procurement and bonding issues, and represented the County in matters involving Community Redevelopment Agencies.
