Iris S. Rogatinsky has been practicing in the areas of debtor/creditor law, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation and appeals since April 1999 and is Of Counsel to the firm. Ms. Rogatinsky is a Legal Writing Instructor at St. Thomas University School of Law and has taught as an adjunct professor with Broward Community College's Paralegal Studies program.
Prior to joining Assouline & Berlowe, Ms. Rogatinsky was a senior associate in the Business Finance and Restructuring department of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. She has represented debtors, creditors, and trustees in complex chapter 11 reorganization cases and out of court restructurings. She also has prepared and filed several briefs in cases pending in both federal and state appellate courts involving bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy law issues.
In 1998, Ms. Rogatinsky earned her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where she was a Senior Notes & Comments Editor of the Florida Law Review, earned three book awards in Property I, Property II, and Land Use Planning, and was inducted as a member of the Order of the Coif. Ms. Rogatinsky graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University - Stern College for Women in 1995, with a bachelor’s degree in English.
