Peter A. Koziol is an associate with Assouline & Berlowe, and concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, intellectual property law, and intellectual property litigation. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Koziol had over 13 years of experience in the multimedia, interactive and publishing industries. He worked in-house on the Information Technology, Quality Assurance and development teams for multimillion dollar products produced at both small and large publishers, including powerhouse conglomerates such as McGraw Hill, Houghton Mifflin, and Vivendi Universal. He has experience working directly with chief executives, directors, software engineers, producers, artists, and musicians.
Mr. Koziol's inside experience provides insight into the issues faced by both small and large businesses, and in particular those encountered by publishers and software developers. He has a strong affinity for creative minds and wants to see them profit from the fruit of their labor. He assists publishers, authors, entrepreneurs and other rights holders secure, maintain, defend, protect, strengthen, license, transfer and exchange their intellectual property rights. His practice has a strong focus on commericial and complex intellectual property litigation.
